Skills and 7-On-7 Camp is a comprehensive football program to develop offensive and defensive techniques and fundamentals.

7 On 7 is touch football focused on learning offensive and defensive skill positions

Sessions begin with drill periods, followed by live scrimmages.

Players develop skills in a fundamentally focused, competitive, fun enviornment

On offense, players learn Receiver, Quarterback, Running Back and Tight End.

Waukee Warrior Flag Football Kindergarten - 2nd Grade

Players learn early childhood football concepts, plays, positions, rules and teamwork

Games are played Saturday mornings to early afternoon at Waukee Stadium

Parents may submit friend requests and Head Coaches may submit rosters for their season (subject to board approval)

Teams may practice once per week for a maximum of 60 minutes

Games begin the weekend after Labor Day and continue for six consecutive weekends

Practices may begin the week of August 19th

Practices are held at Waukee High School, Timberline or South Middle School

Fall Junior Division Football 3rd & 4th Grade

3rd & 4th Grade Players can participate in 11-Man Tackle or Padded Flag Football

Junior Tackle follows heavily modified rules to focus on core offensive and defensive skills. Modifications include simulated special teams, weight limits and more.

Tackle practices begin Monday, August 12th and will be located behind Waukee High School.

Padded Flag practices begin week of Monday, August 19th and will be located at Waukee High School, Timberline or South Middle School. Coaches will communicate after teams are assigned (early August).

All players are equipped with helmets, shoulder pads, jerseys, a mouth guard and football pants (pants are new to 2024 season for padded flag!).

Players provide their water bottle and cleats

All coaches are USA Football Certified and lead by a veteran Division Head Coach.

Padded flag players have 3 days of football per week (3 practices until season starts, then 2 practices & 1 game).

Tackle players have 4 days of football per week (4 practices until season starts, then 3 practices & 1 game)

Tackle games are Saturday or Sunday, playing with organizations in the Mid-Iowa Youth Football League

Padded Flag games are played at Timberline Stadium or Waukee Stadium on Saturday mid-morning to early afternoon.

The first two weeks of practice are focused on fundamentals and players demonstrating skill levels. Rosters will then be determined by coaches, and are built equally in size, experience and skill.

Volunteer coaches that love making sports fun for players, are the backbone of the Waukee Youth Football League. The WYF Board will be a reliable resource for practice and game planning, drills, ideas and support throughout the season.

Fully staffed teams allow us to split players into smaller rosters, provides more direct coaching opportunities and leads to a better experience for everyone involved. We want players on the field getting as many reps as possible at practices and games.
